The talented team at Proximity called me up a few months ago to photograph the Marshall Fridge packaging they had created which was featured in a number of design/marketing industry magazines. We shot the boxes right here in my home studio and the final presentation turned out great!
Click the photo above to check it out... and maybe go buy one because its the coolest appliance invented ever? Legendary musician Slash himself even backed it on Instagram.
Hat's off to the Proximity team for the extremely clever marketing and slick design which caused a flurry of interest for the product, even when its still in the box. In just 48 hours the fridge garnered over 14 million impressions online, and a few weeks later a formal complaint from UPS who said it was too appealing to thieves.
So... corporate portraits can be fun?? Yes they can! Not all corporate portraits need to be on a white background and totally boring. Check out a few of the photos I recently took recently for the team at C4 Church in Ajax, ON. We had some good laughs, and I think the personality of each volunteer/employee really shines through.
Of course for the sake of argument, yes most organisations also have a need for more structured studio portraits so I took a bunch of those as well. But I have no doubt that these more candid shots in the natural work setting better reflect both the individuals and the roles they play within their environment, plus they evoke a more welcoming mood - very fitting for a hip, fun team such as this.
I had the opportunity to work with Big Rock Brewery last week, shooting the Eddies Awards. Going into the job, I wasnt really sure what to expect - but the night turned out great and was a lot of fun. Basically, the Eddies is an awards show for the creators of winning Big Rock beer commercials and print advertisements. One commercial in particular really stuck out in my mind as being hilarious, and has apparently been getting tons of acclaim from the industry - check it out:
And here's the man behind the video receiving his award, along with some other images from the night:
